Dear Elder: I'm finally up and running with the new E-mail
address. It tooka while but the change over was made. No
word from the Penn National Race track about the menu yet. It
should be in my company E-mail box when I get back from the UK.
Oh yeah, I'm over there again next week! Heading to Dublin this
Sunday and back to Leeds on Tuesday, Nottingham on Wednesday,
Manchester on Thursday and back home on Friday. I play Santa
Saturday morning! I'll let you know about the menu as soon as I
receive it. Regards, Bill

Fm: Joseph hodgson jhodgson@galewent.com Cc: Herb Wiley Hnl@rfci.net Elder. - Thanks for sending me all the info. Sorry
that I can't recall a whole lot about my time in Manzarali,
Turkey, it's been too long. I have kept in contact with a fellow
who I became great friends with, who was also in Turkey and I
don't see him on the list. His name is Herb Wiley, his e-mail
address is hnl@rfci.net. I have sent to Herb everything you sent to me and
will be talking to him about the reunion.
About the picture of the
softball team, yes I am in the picture and looking at the picture
I am two to the right of you with my hand in the glove and the
glove on the ground. I think the guy two to the left of you is a
fellow who I played with on the same league team. I believe his
name was Max, but I,m not sure of his last name, but I recognize
Morrison, so I think that guy could be Max Morrison, and not the
fellow you indicated, But I'm not sure. I recognize the twins and
the fellow on the end next to them as the left handed pitcher,
and I do believe I recognize you. Did we all play in the same
league together before we were on this team? Let me know
when and where reservations are to be made for the
reunion.Thanks, Joe
Hodgson

Drew@wmol.com/Thurs/22NO01/TheMemoryBook Elder, Still no sign of the Memory Book.
Also, is there somewhere I can order a Det 27 hat or XL
T-shirt? I recently recalled a medic we had at Det 27 by
the name of McAllister; I believe he was a member of the
Mormon Church from out West, does this ring a bell with anyone?

wife and I enjoy Thanksgiving with our son and his family in
Huntsville, Alabama. Appreciate your request to have
a copy of the Memory Book sent to me. By-the-way, and I'll
get you the exact dates when we return to Maryland next week, I
actually arrived in Ankara in the Fall of 62 and left in June of
1964. At the moment, I'm just too full of turkey to get my
head around the precise dates, but will do so in a few
days. Best wishes...Cheers/Gary

you may find more because they are very actively searching

I am afraid I may be guilty party of the disc. I received the CD
and was thrilled, however I have had some serious medical
problems that stops the whole world and all you can deal
with at that time is hanging in there and keeping the
faith, which consumes you. O.K. Good story. I have the
tape and will be sending it to Greg Norberg in Northridge, Ca..
Sorry for the delay Greg. Unfortunately when you get as familiar
with your prostate gland you will understand what I mean
about consuming you. Actually I am alive and well, only consumed
at times. May you never know what I am talking about.

Frickey HI Email friends:
Well, some people don't have anything better to do than play on
people's fears ... to those of use who have had a computer virus
or a close call with one, we are easy prey. Anyway,
the "It takes guts to say Jesus" virus is a
hoax. However, a learned person once told me to look hard
and a lesson can often be found even in the
most embarrassing events. A couple of
"friends" provided such a learning opportunity with me
by sharing ways to check these things out ahead of
time. I want to share their advise with you in case
you are ever asked to pass on a virus alert. If you
are a computer whiz and you already know how to snoop out
hoaxes just hit the delete button; but, for those of you who are
somewhat "challenged" when it comes to computer
literacy, I share their responses to my virus message.
Norm. Thanks
for taking the time to update us on this possible problem.
It is, however, a hoax; one of many that circulate on the
Web. It's easy to see how they can be taken seriously, as
there are a number of viruses that are very real and could be
harmful.
Here's a couple of tips on checking these out. First,
there's a web site - www.snopes2.com
- that devotes itself to exposing these myths and hoaxes.
Use the search function, enter a few words of the alleged virus
or story title, and it will take you to a source regarding the
subject. In this case, I entered "guts to say
Jesus", and was connected to www.McAfee.com, clicked on the Virus
Information Library, and entered the same phrase. There's a
whole page of info on this particular hoax, as there are for many
others. For more
information on it you can visit: www.scambusters.com. Look for the It takes guts to
be Jesus scam. Well, that's it. Now you know more than
you probably wanted to know about virus hoaxes.
Sorry if I caused you any problem or distress. This
little process did allow me to cull several Email addresses
that are no longer active and that is good. I hope you had
a nice holiday and this message finds you in good health and high
spirits.Best Regards and have a GREAT
"no hoax" day. Norm Frickey [[Norm was
the 2nd commander of Det 27]]

Findley Subject:
Deerless Season Guys, My luck keeps runnin' on! 2 schedule
changes in 2 days took away 2 planned hunting days. Had the
last weekend of the season off, though. Friend's wife
wouldn't let him out, so I was on my own. Rained Friday
through Sunday. No sense going out and catching
pneumonia when the deer are bedded down. Today, the day
after deer season, it's cold & snowing. I've come to
learn over the past few years that God is a practical
joker! HE did it to me, again. Another T-Zone next
month. Think I'll go out by Erin's (daughter) house;
they always have deer all around their house. I'll just sit
on her front porch drink coffee & wait for one to walk by!
Did get some housework done, though. Even washed
pillows. Must be getting domesticated! Got to watch another
Bear's game. The boys look good! We love running
backs & linebackers; we have a team we can love! I'm
beginning to think they may be a real football team! God Bless
