MAIL-call - PRESERVING FORGOTTEN MEMORIES

This newsletter is intended only for the use of the ASA TURKEY Veteran's. Comments or submissions to the DAYS OF OUR LIVES are most welcome. I will respond to all e-mails and will assist whenever needed, but reserve the right to edit for content and clarity and welcome any errors that may appear herein. Please include ASA in the subject line. Whether you choose to share your BIO is a personal choice. However, information not shared is the same as information lost. I'm always shocked by the ferocity with which memories previously buried alive unexpectedly are revisited. Keep in mind that the Internet is a universe unto itself and is a dang near veritable hell-hole filled with scams, scam artists, frauds, thieves, and greedy people, etc. In the old days, back when mail crossed the country in days, identity theft still took place. Today, e-mail crosses the country at the speed of light. The crooks do too. Your privacy is extremely important. Therefore, if you wish not to receive future DAYS OF OUR LIVES, please send that request to asagreenhornet@yahoo.com. Thank you

PHOTO'S OF THE 2005 ASA TURKEY REUNION IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

The reunion in San Antonio was enjoyed by all. The two group photo's will be included in a future DOOL There were 51 veterans present. Of those 21 were first timers and the 51 vets came from 18 states.
I had comments from the attendees drafted and ready for this edition, but all was lost along with most of my DOOL data used to prepare the DOOL's - when my PC went south.
Below you will find 34 individual photo's of those in attendance plus a pix of the owners of the Turquoise Turkish Grill where we were entertained by a bellydancer and partook of the well know Turkish Kebalbs. One of the surviving bellydancer photo's can be seen in the Attaturk Armstrong photo.
I regret to inform that photo's of: Chuck and Helen Bergmann; Frank and Arlie Eldridge; Carlos and Frankie Hunt; Charlie and Sue Kindermann; Dan Levy; Matt and Gloria Matias; Mac and Evelyn McCreary; Bob and Lorraine Nearpass; Jim Petersen; Dan and Marjorie Schoppe; Chuck and Penny Teschker; Dale Tier; Ron and Jan Walter and Bill Simons. Roger Glubka and Carlos Hunt sent me disks containing many photo's, but because of the kb size of each photo I was not able to include them herein. In the near future and thanks to Chuck Bergmann I will have the ability to convert the photos into a pdf format.
